Hi!, I'm Ana Maria Ramos (she/her/ella). Bilingual Sexuality Educator & Founder of Familia Sex Talks.
And yes—I talk to families about the stuff that can feel awkward.
I created Familia Sex Talks because young people deserve accurate information about growing up—and caregivers deserve support talking with them about it.
For many of us, conversations about bodies, puberty, sexuality, relationships, and consent weren't exactly normal dinner-table conversations growing up.
Maybe nobody talked about it. Maybe the message was simply, "Don't." Maybe there was embarrassment, fear, silence, or shame. And then we became the adults.
Suddenly, we're expected to know exactly what to say when a child asks:
"Why is my body changing?"
"What does that word mean?"
"My friend showed me something..."
"Is it normal?"
And that's a lot to handle.

I believe we can do something different.
We can give young people accurate, age-appropriate information and give caregivers the confidence to remain part of the conversation.
Because I don't want the internet, social media, pornography, or playground conversations to become a child's primary source of information about their body or relationships.
I want young people to have trusted adults they can turn to.
Familia Sex Talks was created to help make that possible—in both English and Spanish!

Families, bodies, identities, and experiences are diverse—and our learning spaces aim to reflect that.

Workshops are grounded in sexual health education, youth development, media literacy, and healthy-relationship education.
Judgment-free. Sin Vergüenza.
Questions and curiosity are treated with respect rather than shame.
Practical
Families leave with language and tools they can actually use at home.
Bilingual & Culturally Responsive
Language and culture shape how families talk about bodies, relationships, sexuality, and growing up. We offer education in English and Spanish while making space for the different values, experiences, and traditions families bring into the room.
Families leave our workshops knowing they can continue the conversations and staying curious together.
