Puberty & Consent Talks for 

Tweens and Caregivers

Puberty brings many changes—and mcuhas preguntas.  Bodies grow quickly. Emotions change. Friendships may get confusing. And tweens begin developing a new understanding of themselves and the people around them.

This workshop creates a supportive space for tweens and caregivers to learn about these changes together.

Designed for tweens 8 to 12 years old and their parents or trusted adults, this interactive session helps families strengthen connection, trust, and confidence while navigating one of childhood's biggest transitions.

Together, families will:

• Build confidence talking about puberty, growing up, and all the changes

• Explore sexual and reproductive anatomy in an age-appropriate way

• Strengthen understanding of personal boundaries and consent

• Practice communication skills that support healthy relationships

• Develop tools for continuing conversations at home

This is not your typical puberty class.

There are no long lectures. No separating caregivers from the conversation. And no expectation that anyone share something personal.

Instead, expect activities, family discussions, anonymous questions, opportunities to laugh, and plenty of chances to learn together. 

A little awkward? Está bien. That's part of growing up, too. 

Why learn together as a family?

Kids have questions. When caregivers participate in these conversations alongside them, something important happens:

Tweens learn that the adults in their lives are people they can come to. Caregivers gain language and tools for conversations that might otherwise feel difficult. And everyone gets a little more comfortable talking. That's the goal. 

Not one perfect conversation. Opportunities for open and honest conversations to keep happening.

Who Should Attend?

Tweens approximately 8 to 12 years old accompanied by a parent, caregiver, or trusted adult.
